Welcome to my Cayman Islands blog. I am creating this blog to journalize my experience of living and working in the Cayman Islands. I believe that it is a once in a life time opportunity to experience island life in the Caribbean, while at the same time expanding my professional experience in one of the financial centres of the world.
To begin with, I am originally from Zimbabwe and have worked in various companies in South Africa, including a subsidiary of a mid-sized US information technology company that was headquartered in Silicon Valley. I have travelled quite extensively on work related and personal trips and I really enjoy experiencing the different cultures the world has to offer. I have stayed in some of the best and not so best places, I have met the rich and famous and the not-so-rich and famous and I have dined with the highest of the high and some of the poorest people on God’s earth.
I will be living and working in the Cayman Islands for possibly the next 2 years and thus the need to write this blog, as it may be of interest to anyone who might want to work in or visit Cayman Islands. So enjoy or don’t enjoy, it’s up to you…
By the way, everything that I write in this blog will be my own experience – which is to say that this blog will be very subjective.
